Life Isn't Fair
"Life isn't fair". If you have gone through the modern North American school system, you
likely have heard this phrase. It is generally used by teachers and supervisors when things aren't going your way, and you exclaim, "That's not fair!". They will most likely say, "Life isn't fair", then walk away, as if it is the end of the discussion, as if "Life's not fair" is a end all, perfect conclusion. No argument, no protest, nothing.
So instead of ignoring any further discussion, shouldn't they be listening to why the pupil thinks that whatever they are doing at the moment isn't fair? I don't disagree that life isn't fair, but shouldn't they be trying to do something to change it? Standing there conveying onto people that life isn't fair, so just leave and go back to what you were doing and keep being completely conformist is not the way of the future, which the governments preach is happening now in the education system! Everyone knows that life isn't fair, but it isn't an argument to sit back and relax! If life isn't fair, do what the charities, the protesters, the lobbyists, movements, and activists are doing: MAKE IT FAIR! It isn't a discussion, an argument, a contention, or a debate, it's a call to action to MAKE IT FAIR!
